I was somewhat bemused last night by the amount of people clapping a disgusting tackle on one of our opponents, which rightly deserved a straight red card.

Why clap someone who, with 15 minutes still left to play serious put our lead in jepordy and got himself a 3 match ban?

Well if your that disgusted , take a look at the Derby player hanging off hes neck 20 seconds before frustraion got the better of him. I am disgusted with mr bennett and hes 1 rule for 1 and then theres Birmingham

i'm sure mr. bennett won't lose any sleep over it mate and last time i checked there was 1 law book.

What do you expect should be done? Boo him?

OK, he makes a bad mistake, but give the lad a break. We clap to show we're all behind him, cos he runs his socks off for OUR team, who we SUPPORT.

McSheffrey :applause:

I reckon McSheffs work rate has been excellent.

He is working back defensively a lot more and contributing at both ends of the park. He is young and the rest may benefit him, even if it was a really silly thing for him to do.

He needs to learn from the needless incident as it could have risked 3 points and promotion.

Cant see him playing Gray, although i do think Gray could work well in this division, but Brucie prefers him at left back and half the time thats in the changing room!

While McSheffrey's challenge was rash, Derby players were getting away with stuff all night.

Their player should have been booked on the touchline for hauling one of ours down. Instead he got away with it. Jaidi has been sent off twice for the exact same thing.

Also, in midfield, late on, one of their players should have received a second yellow card for a challenge on Muamba I think but only got a talking to. When you consider the challenegs from Derby that went unpunished the red card was harsh considering he didn't make contact with the player.

That said, it was a rd card challenge but it is frustrating when the oposition get away with so much. Especially when they're awarded a corner after a Derby player punched the ball out of Doyle's hands.

Double standards by Steve Bennett but we've come to expect nothing else.
